Sometimes it seems like all the residents of San Jose want to live in Boise too.
Now if they’d just bring a few Silicon Valley businesses with them, we might have something.

Me too but if they’re coming bring employment generating businesses with them rather than just inflated housing costs

The sellers are causing the inflated housing costs. I have yet to run into any Californian that would be unwilling to pay the same price you did for your house…

You should expand your circle of acquaintances then.
How do you explain California refugees often willingly getting in bidding wars and sometimes even paying more than asking price?

Yep and the growth in demand didn’t come from a baby boom 30 years ago in Boise or a mass exodus from Wyoming.
Come to Boise but bring high paying new jobs and successful businesses with you.
We can always use more Bronco fans.

That’s silly. Don’t gatekeep. People are free to move wherever they want. Idaho should be creating more incentives to create more businesses if employment is an issue.

Not gate keeping which is why I extended the invitation to come to Boise.
I just wish they’d come improving things rather than impersonating a wave of locusts.

As long as we keep the Texans out, we can prevent what happened to the Front Range :)
Boise is a growing tech hub. You can't go very long following business news w/o seeing things like Boise as a top site for new tech grads, start ups, venture capital moves, etc. Use your AI chat or old fashioned Google w/phrases like "Boise Tech Hub". Afternoon of full of reading.

Take it from someone who grew up in CA and remembers when it was about half the population it is now. Growth isn't always good.

That’s great. However, we shouldn’t need to put down other places to prop up how great you perceive Boise.
I’m someone who grew up in Idaho and moved to SF. It’s way, way better for me.

First job out of grad school was in Embarcadero Center downtown, the women were fantastic, never felt comfortable in the city though.

Any new business coming to Boise should be required to donate big NIL bucks to Boise State...otherwise they can't come in.
