Sriracha Mayo couldn’t be easier to make! Here I’ll show you the secret ingredient that takes this homemade dip to new heights.
Homemade Sriracha Mayo
I can’t remember where I was when I first had sriracha mayo, but it was love at first bite. So smooth and creamy, yet nice and tangy. Ugh. So good. Making your own truly couldn’t be easier. Here’s what you’ll need:
Sriracha Mayo Ingredients
- Mayo
- Sriracha
- Garlic Powder
- Lime Juice
- Salt
Yup, a good squeeze of lime juice makes so SO much difference. It just enhances that zingy taste and gives a fresh pop to the dip.
Top Tip – Use full fat mayo and fresh lime juice for a fuller flavour. Using reduced fat mayo or bottled lime juice will alter the flavour considerably.
Spicy Mayo
When it comes to how spicy this dip is, I actually like it on the creamier side of things. As such, I recommend starting with a ratio of 1 cup mayo : 2 tbsp Sriracha. A lot of similar recipes actually recommend a lot more sriracha, but personally I think slightly less allows you to appreciate the dip without having your socks blown off. However, do adjust accordingly.
I recommend using Flying Goose Sriracha Hot Sauce for the best flavour. I’ve tried different brands of sriracha and Flying Goose always seems to come on top. Whatever you do, don’t sub for ‘chilli sauce’ or ‘hot sauce’ or anything similar.
When it comes to serving sriracha mayo, the usual thing would be to opt for a bowl or small pot. But if you’re extra like me, just carve the centre out of a lime and pop it in there 🤣Perfect in a blooming onion!

- 1/2 Lime (or more to preference)
- Salt, to taste

Quick 1 min demo!
Notes:
a) Sriracha - I recommend buying Flying Goose. Don't sub for 'chilli sauce', 'hot sauce' or a cheaper brand of sriracha, it won't taste the same!
b) Spicy - Everyone's spice thresholds are different, but I think 2 tbsp sriracha makes a creamy dip without being too overpowering. However, do adjust accordingly. If you're not too good with spice start off with 1 tbsp.
c) Mayo - I recommend full fat mayo for this recipe. Go on, treat yourself.
d) Lime Juice - Always fresh! Bottled lime juice will alter the flavour considerably!
