TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona Beach Volleyball is headed to Tempe to compete in the Pac-12 Championship Tournament April 24-26. Last week, the Sand Cats upset No. 13 ASU at home, then went 1-1 at the LMU Tri-Dual in Los Angeles.

The Wildcats are the tournament's No. 7 seed, and will face No.2-seeded UCLA at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24.

Arizona is 2-12 in its history against the Bruins. The teams last faced each other at the Pac-12 North Invitational earlier this month, and UCLA emerged with a 4-1 victory over the Sand Cats.

The winner of this 10:15 match will continue in the Winners bracket, while the loser will fall into the Contenders bracket, with the chance to work through the contenders bracket and make it to the championship match.

NOTING THE WILDCATS

Senior Abby Russell has a career record of 59-42 (.584). Russell is now No. 11 in the rankings for all-time individual career wins at Arizona. This season, Russell and partner Olivia McElroy have gone 17-13 (.567) with ten of these wins taking place at the No. 1 position.

Annie Kost has a career record of 47-26 (.644), earning her the No. 15 spot on Arizona's list of individual wins leaders. Kost also has the most individual wins (21) on the Wildcat roster this season, going 14-6 (.7) with partner Hope Shannon and 7-3 (.7) with partner Kylee Fitzsimmons. Currently, with this season record, Kost ranks No. 18 on the list of season individual wins leaders by at Arizona.

Junior defender Kylee Fitzsimmons is 28-14 (.667) as a Wildcat, with a 19-11 (.633) record this season. In 2024, Fitzsimmons has earned six wins at No. 2, 12 wins at No. 3 and one win at No.4.

Grace Cook transferred from Missouri State to join the Wildcats in 2023. Cook has a career record of 37-25 (.597) at Arizona, putting her at No. 19 on the list of all-time individual career wins leaders. In the 2024 season, Cook is 4-5 at No. 1, 6-3 at No. 2, 5-5 at No. 3 and 1-1 at No. 4.

Freshman split blocker Jess Horwath has a career record of 19-10 (.655) with partner (and fellow freshman) Kate Phillips. Horwath and Phillips have the best pair record on the Wildcat roster this season, and the pair now ranks No. 15 on the list of Arizona's pair season wins leaders.

Freshman Kate Phillips has the second most wins on the Wildcat roster this season, going 20-10 (.667). The blocker from Phoenix, Arizona has earned 19 wins at the No. 4 position and one win at the No. 3 position.

Senior defender Miranda Erro has a career record of 34-24 (.586) as a Wildcat, earning the No. 20 spot for all-time individual career wins at Arizona. This season, Erro is 15-12 (.556) with partner Ashlyn Zilliken at the No. 5 position.
