San Jose State was a really nice school to go to. It is located in downtown San Jose and the campus life is very vibrant, diverse, and friendly. There are many restaurants and areas to go with friends. The professors I had were super helpful, experienced and interesting. Located in the Sillicon Valley it prepares you for life in that area and sets you up for success.

The school is average at best, it's mainly a commuter school so unless you're in Greek life or a club there really isn't much social life here. Dorms are okay, but the dining food is mid and overpriced so you're better off making your own food. Additionally, a majority of the food places cater more to commuters so most food options are closed on weekends. if you plan on commuting San Jose isn't a bad school, but I can't say much for those who dorm.

San Jose State University is a fun school but not a party school. Since most people who attend are locals or commuters, its is very dull unless there is a sports event. But besides this, the school has amazing professors who do whatever they can in their power to help you succeed. The only downside, is that it is difficult when trying to enroll in classes you need because they prioritize students who have applied for graduation or seniors.

I am a sophom*ore here at SJSU and so far I have enjoyed my time here. I am not originally from San Jose so I have enjoyed exploring and getting to know the area and the school. The teachers here have been great so far. I also admire how the school offers a variety of different courses to help you succeed in achieving the major that you are pursuing.

San Jose State University (SJSU) has its share of challenges. Some students find that the large class sizes can make getting individualized attention from professors difficult. Additionally, the university's location in Silicon Valley means that the cost of living in the area can be high, which can be a barrier for some students. SJSU also faces issues with campus safety and infrastructure, with some students expressing concerns about the condition of campus facilities. Despite these challenges, many students find that the opportunities for academic and professional growth at SJSU outweigh the drawbacks.

I had such a great time at SJSU. I worked in Housing as an RA, and while it was hell, I made some of the deepest and most genuine friendships I will have throughout life. A large majority of the Sociology professors I learned from were kind and understanding, with fair but high standards. I loved SJSU.

I really like the diversity and inclusion the campus gives. I can be myself freely without anyone judging me, as opposed to high school. I like how everything is simple to grasp onto and I have a lot of resources to help me with college. I am able to get the support I need throughout everything!

San Jose State University offers many academic and professional resources to students, which allow you develop quality relationships with faculty and secure internships or jobs post graduation. But the area of San Jose itself can be unsafe in the evenings and empty on the weekends. Overall, if you make the most of the resources available including clubs, professional organizations, and more then you'll be able to have a rewarding experience at the school.

Their unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment has truly stood out. Not only are they knowledgeable and passionate about their respective subjects, but they also exhibit a genuine concern for their students' success. The professors consistently go above and beyond, adding valuable insights to their lectures and incorporating real-world applications to enhance our understanding. This blend of academic rigor and compassionate mentorship has made my time at SJSU incredibly rewarding, and I feel fortunate to be part of a university where both education and personal growth are prioritized.

I enjoy being at sjsu. Nice environment and met some really good people and staffs. I hope the new building are almost done with construction because it is a hassle to walk around it when I’m walking to class. Another thing is the drainage in some area is bad so it leaves a huge puddle making everyone’s feet wet. An improvement could be more security around the library and around campus in general because there are a lot of homeless and scary individuals that get on campus and creep/scare the students. From experience this has happened multiple times. The food selection is pretty nice, sometimes the workers do mess up the food/drinks but overall edible.

Love the diversity and inclusivity of the bustling campus. Many things always going on, always tabling for clubs, organizations and Greek life. Everyone is always very friendly and there’s a ton of different people to get to know both student wise and staff wise. Many resources to help students dealing from anything to do with mental health or physical/ sexual health to needing help with classes and school work. One thing I will say is the location of the campus isn’t the best and parking is difficult to find majority of the time and downtown SJ is fairly dangerous, as is any downtown area of a big city. Campus is open to anyone so you do have to be extra wary of your surroundings but you’re never alone, students and staff are always around and campus police is always on site and quick to respond to any danger.

I really love the diversity that sjsu has to offer. One becomes friends with people from other cultural backgrounds and ethnicities which brings awareness as well as as just learning about other cultures. I also love how friendly everyone is to each other l. I have never had any ugly encounterment with anyone and the environments in classrooms are amazing.

I enjoy my experience here at San Jose State University and continue to do so. Of course no matter what there is always going to be some bad experiences but all that means is room for growth. What I really like about my college experience so far is that there is a lot of event here for students to either destress, have fun, and connect with other. I feel like these events held by the school help students find a sense of belonging.
