Have you heard of the Funders Commitment on Climate Action? This Earth Day, we are looking back to push forward, and are reflecting on some of the valuable tools and resources that have and will continue to support and guide us on our climate action journey. One of those resources is the Funders Commitment on Climate Action (FCCA), a voluntary pledge for funders to engage with seven commitments that grow our practices, understanding, and leadership in the climate action space. The FCCA is a platform for Aotearoa’s funders to better understand the landscape of climate action and guide us through the key principles, roles and responsibilities that we, as a Community Trust, can undertake to ensure a just transition to a low carbon society.Click the link below to learn more about the Funders Commitment on Climate Action.https://lnkd.in/g9YHsvXX

Foundation North kaimahi are feeling inspired and motivated after our all-staff Noho Marae at Te Māhurehure Cultural Marae this week.We want to extend our gratitude and thanks to Christine and the team for welcoming us onto Taumata o Kupe and sharing the whakapapa of the marae – which stretches back to 1969!For many of us, this Noho was a new experience, and we all enjoyed the opportunity to come together to wānanga, learn more about the history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and He Whakaputanga, and reflect on the Foundation North journey to guide our next steps into the future.Foundation North is proud to have supported the development of Taumata o Kupe Marae and to have had the opportunity to engage deeper with the kaupapa.
